Place your plant in bright, filtered, or indirect sunlight.
Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch and burn the leaves.
East-facing windows or spots a few feet away from south- or west-facing windows work best.
Check the soil depth with your finger before watering; let the top 2 to 3 inches dry out completely.
Water thoroughly until it runs out of the bottom drainage holes, and empty any standing water from the saucer to prevent root rot.
Use a rich, fast-draining houseplant potting mix enriched with perlite or peat moss.
Ensure the container has working drainage holes.
