Sunlight
Full Sun: Give your plant at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight every day.
Placement: Place it in the brightest spot possible. Without enough sun, the plant will not flower or produce fruit well.
Soil
Drainage: Use well-draining soil. Pomegranate roots hate sitting in soggy or waterlogged dirt, which causes root rot.
Type: They grow well in sandy loam, loamy mixes, or standard garden soil mixed with compost. For pots, use a mix of soil, compost, and perlite or sand.
pH Level: Aim for a neutral to slightly acidic pH between 5.5 and 7.0.
Watering
Frequency: Water deeply once a week during the active growing and fruiting season. Let the top 1 to 2 inches of soil dry out completely between watering sessions.
Consistency: Keep watering regular and steady. Irregular watering causes the developing fruit to split open.
Winter Rest: Reduce watering significantly during winter when the plant goes dormant, giving it just enough moisture to keep the roots from drying out completely.
