Sunlight
Bright indirect light: Place near a sunny window with filtered light to prevent leaf scorch.
Morning sun: Provide 3 to 6 hours of direct morning sunlight for optimal, lush growth.
Avoid harsh afternoon sun: Intense midday rays can dry out or burn the delicate rounded leaves.
Soil
Moisture-retentive mix: Use a rich mix containing garden soil and organic matter like well-rotted cow manure.
Sandy or loamy texture: Blend in sand or gravel to keep the structure loose and aerated.
Hydroponic/Water growth: Grow directly in pots without drainage holes filled mostly with water over a small sand and manure base.
Watering
Keep consistently wet: Never let the soil dry out completely; pennywort loves boggy, damp environments.
Frequency: Water every few days or daily during hot summer weather, reducing slightly in cooler months.
Standing water method: Maintain a small layer of standing water above the soil line if growing in non-drained containers.
