Sunlight
Bright, Indirect Light: Place your plant near an east-facing window or a bright spot that gets plenty of ambient light.
Avoid Harsh Rays: Keep it away from intense, direct midday sun, which can scorch, bleach, or burn the large violin-shaped leaves.
Soil
Well-Draining Mix: Use a porous, aerated blend—such as standard organic potting soil mixed with perlite, coco peat, or coarse sand—to prevent compaction.
Watering
Watering
Check the Depth: Let the top 2 to 3 inches of soil dry out completely before you water again. Soak and Drain: Water slowly until it runs out of the bottom drainage holes, then empty the collection saucer so the roots never sit in standing water.
Adjust by Season: Water more frequently during active growth in the spring and summer, and reduce frequency during cooler winter months.
